The new Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA) was completed in May 2016 and was opened to the public the following month. Designed by Toshiko Mori, this elegant building was sited in Rockland in an area that connects 19th century Main Street to the commercial harbor zone beyond. The distinctive sawtooth form houses the main gallery and the building represents the new face of Rockland.
